The Luciana is a classic gown but it’s unique features make it different than others you may see for several reasons:

I had a great conversation with Eliza’s editor, Summer Bellessa, about her work to help the “modest movement” and all that she does to support designers like us to help us get the word out. She has been wonderful to us, giving us contacts and telling others about what we are offering. I love her magazine and think she does a great job - I hope she is fabulously successful! The Mia gown was inspired by my own wedding gown. It is made of exquisite alencon lace, imported from France, that makes the dress absolutely stunning. It is a sheath gown that frames the body and then the godets at the bottom create a lovely silouhette. A double sided silk sash completes the gown. It is incredibly comfortable and the separate silk lining allows the dress to move beautifully. It is a wonderful gown for the all-day wedding event as the lace never wrinkles, and will look just as gorgeous at the end of the day as it did in the beginning. When I got married, I wanted a dress that didn’t look like every other girl getting married in the temple. I thought that just because I needed a modest gown, shouldn’t mean that I have to sacrifice my style and individuality. I knew that what I wanted, did not exist, and so I had to pursue it another way. What I ended up with was a custom made designer gown, and it had to have alterations to make it temple ready. My gown was a dream come true, everything I wanted and more . . . . but it was expensive, and my 6 month engagement was just barely enough time to have it completed. I was also a little scary because I didn’t know what it would look like until it was done - one week before my wedding at my final (and only) fitting.
So, due to this experience, which was the same for both of my sisters, my Mom and I decided that it was time to do something about it. We created Alleanza Bridal, a company that caters to the bride who wants a modest gown with style. The dresses are designed by my Mom and I, and are created to be temple ready from the very beginning - no adding on, or piecing in required. They are made individually in the garment district of New York City out of absolutely beautiful fabrics.
