We’d love to see you at the Bridal Show we will be at this weekend - The Premier Bridal Show is Saturday, January 17, 2009 at the Joseph Smith Memorial Building from 10 am - 6 pm. It should be a a lot of fun- there will be fashion shows at 11:30, 1:30, and 3:30 where you will see our bridal line www.alleanzabridal.com/collection/ There is nothing quite like seeing a gown in action - how it moves and flows and how it looks on a real person versus hanging on a hanger. We’re looking forward to it - hope to see you there!
1. Just look at this lace!!! It is not a traditional pattern, but a more modern and very intricate floral milled in France. In the ivory it is absolutley gorgeous (my personal favorite of all our beautiful french laces). Let the pictures speak for themselves.
2. Another important thing to consider when purchasing your bridal gown - construction and fit. Mass-produced dresses or chain store gowns do not have the solid construction to create a flattering hourglass figure. The use of quality fabrics and the experience of a designer who fit checks the dresses and creates dresses with a woman’s curves in mind is extremely important. A proper fit gives an illusion of a smaller waist and firmer body, no matter what your actual size. Thie fit on the Luciana is so flattering and your gown is made individually in New York with great care to detail and craftmanship - not made on an assemply line overseas. These factors set the Luciana apart from other wedding gowns you may have seen. It is simply a elegant and gorgeous choice.
There are only five cuts of wedding gowns – ballgown, empire, princess, sheath, and trumpet/mermaid. Every wedding gown made in the world is based on one of these five cuts. The difference is what fashion designers do with these five styles. Fashion-forward bridal gown designers use each silhouette to its maximum appeal by incorporating high quality fabrics and dramatic details.
The ballgown has long been a popular and classic choice for the bride. We’ve taken the ballgown silhouette and added a twist to the traditional style by making the bodice with flattering diagonal darting and an asymmetrical bow that adds interest and creates a unique design. This is no cookie cutter ball gown. This gown lets you make a fashion statement that reflects your individual style. The beautiful rich satin is imported from France. The bride will truly be stunning in this gown with its glamorous details.
It’s December and I can’t wait for my issue of Eliza magazine to arrive. If you aren’t familiar with this magazine - think Vogue magazine - only with modest, chic fashions that you actually could wear. I heard about this magazine about a year ago and I subscribed and have loved it. It was therefore, quite a thrill to have the editor of Eliza call me up and tell me she had see our line of bridal gowns and loved what we were doing. She arranged to do a quick photo shoot and interview and we will be in the upcoming December issue. We’ve got a listing on the Eliza magazine blog as well. Check it out http://elizamagazine.com/blog/
I had a great conversation with Eliza’s editor, Summer Bellessa, about her work to help the “modest movement” and all that she does to support designers like us to help us get the word out. She has been wonderful to us, giving us contacts and telling others about what we are offering. I love her magazine and think she does a great job - I hope she is fabulously successful! We need more of what she is offering and less of what is currently on the magazine racks. Don’t you agree? Watch for the December issue of Eliza coming out soon.
So, due to this experience, which was the same for both of my sisters, my Mom and I decided that it was time to do something about it. We created Alleanza Bridal, a company that caters to the bride who wants a modest gown with style. The dresses are designed by my Mom and I, and are created to be temple ready from the very beginning - no adding on, or piecing in required. They are made individually in the garment district of New York City out of absolutely beautiful fabrics.
We are so excited to be able to give brides that are looking for something distinctive, chic, and modest more choices. We hope you will enjoy our first collection.
